Nilma Primary School runs an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program, providing both Before and After School Care.
- Before School Care operates from 7.00am – 8.45am
- After School Care operates from 3.15pm – 6.00pm
OSHC operates on each school day. OSHC is not open on any Victorian public holidays, nor the following 2026 dates:
- Fri 6 March (student free day)
- Thur 19 March (Before School Care on Athletics Sports Day)
- Thu 2 April (After school Care on last day of T1 due to early school finish time of 2.30pm)
- Fri 12 June (student free day)
- Fri 26 June (After school Care on last day of T2 due to early school finish time of 2.30pm)
- Fri 18 Sept (After school Care on last day of T3 due to early school finish time of 2.30pm)
- Fri 27 Nov (student free day)
- Fri 18 Dec (After school Care on last day of T4 due to early school finish time of 1.30pm)
We also advertise the OSHC closure days in our school newsletter.
The program accommodates up to 15 students per session for permanent and casual bookings.
Once OSHC enrolment is accepted, bookings are made by parents via the Xplor Home Playground App.
Students are provided with a light breakfast during Before School Care (arrivals prior to 8am) and afternoon tea during After School Care sessions.
Activities are planned by our OSHC Co-ordinator to cater for students interests and strengths, focusing on social interactions and educational opportunities. Activities are experienced by students both outdoors and indoors, utilising the OSHC room and our school yard and play equipment.

- IMPORTANT NOTE – All documentation will need to be completed and provided BEFORE a child can attend our OSCH service.
- Parents, please allow around 5-7 working days for your child’s enrolment to be processed.

BOOKINGS
We ask users to book Before School Care by 3pm the night before the proposed attendance and After School Care by 3pm the night before the day of proposed attendance. Places will be dependent on availability. If parents book a place after these times list above, then they will incur a $2 late booking fee.
**Parents are to cancel bookings by these times above or the full fee will be charged, as food will have been purchased/extra staffing may have been organised.
FEES
Parents can check their fee balance anytime via the app. Parents are expected to keep their account under $100. If parents accounts exceed $100 owing or are over 4 weeks outstanding their child’s place with our service may be put on hold or terminated. Please contact the school office if you are experiencing financial difficulty.
