Social and Personal Learning

Our school values are based around ‘REAL @ Nilma’:

Respect and Responsibility, Environment, Achievement and Learning.

These 4 values underpin Nilma Primary School’s ethos and approach to the learning and personal development for each individual student.

The focus is on students being – Respectful and responsible, Environmentallyaware, Achievement focused and Life-long learners through developing whole community – clear expectations for what students say, think, do and how they act in various settings.

As part of this program we have set up a reward system whereby students receive REAL stickers when they display the appropriate behaviours and expectations. The stickers themselves were designed by the students to reflect our school’s values.

The students collect their stickers, save them up and then trade them for a series of rewards that are negotiated and decided upon by the students and class teacher together.
