Camps & Excursions

Camps and Excursions are an important part of the school curriculum and they usually relate to whole school term themes.

All children are expected to participate, as a lot of work is followed up in the classroom afterwards. Parents will have written notification before an activity.  We have a policy that all children should be able to attend so, if parents are in financial difficulty, please contact the Principal or Business Manager. Eligible families can use CSEF (Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund) towards the cost of these activities. For eligibility requirements please contact the Office.

Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to participate in yearly camps with other students within the Mt Worth Cluster. Camps give students opportunities to participate in activities to build confidence, make friendships and help develop problem solving and team work skills. They also are able to meet with other students, whom many of the students will attend secondary school with in the following years.

Camps are advertised in the school newsletter and correspondence about them are given to parents in preparation to the camps. Costs vary yearly and payment plans are available.

Some students are also given the opportunity to attend other camps organised by community groups such as the RSL and Lions Clubs. Information regarding these opportunities is given to parents as they become available and if students are eligible.
